about
I am a Biology Premed major with a strong academic background in Biology and Chemistry, specializing in Organic Chemistry I and upper-level biology courses. I tutor Organic Chemistry I, BIO201, BIO202, and BIO321 with a focus on deep conceptual understanding rather than memorization.
My approach is structured and exam-oriented. I help students break down complex mechanisms, pathways, and biological systems into clear logical steps. I emphasize problem-solving skills, exam strategy, and understanding patterns in questions so students can approach assessments confidently.
I aim to make difficult material feel manageable and structured. My goal is not just to help students pass, but to help them understand the “why” behind every concept.
experience
• One-on-one tutoring for university students in Organic Chemistry I and core Biology courses
• Guided students through Organic Chemisty basics, reaction mechanisms (SN1, SN2, E1, E2), and synthesis strategy
• Assisted BIO201 & BIO202 students with cell biology, metabolism, genetics, and molecular biology
• Supported BIO321 students with advanced genetics concepts, probability in inheritance, and data interpretation
• Actively tutoring International Baccalaureate (IB) Biology and Chemistry HL for the past 2 years
• Focused heavily on exam preparation, practice questions, and step-by-step problem solving
• Helped students improve grades through structured review plans and active recall techniques
• Tutored young kids all subjects including science, math and English.
background
I come from a strong science background with advanced university training in biology and chemistry. I have consistently held very high standards in these subjects and developed a deep understanding of how concepts connect rather than treating them as isolated topics.
As a student myself, I understand the pressure of university exams, time management, and difficult professors. That perspective allows me to explain material in a way that actually makes sense, not just repeating textbook definitions.
I believe teaching is about clarity, patience, and structure, and that’s what I bring to every session.
