about

Hello, my name is Christina Gedeon, and I am a student at the American University of Beirut (AUB) with a strong passion for teaching and mentoring students in biological sciences. I believe that structured learning adapted to each student’s level, pace, and academic goals is really essential. Having once been in the same position as many of you, I understand the challenges, stress, and pressure that come with demanding biology courses.I enjoy tutoring because I genuinely value working closely with students and helping them build confidence in their understanding and abilities. Many students come feeling overwhelmed, especially during exam periods or when preparing for future academic paths such as medical school. My goal is to guide them through the material in a calm, supportive, and practical way.My teaching approach is structured and student-centered. I focus on strengthening foundational knowledge while encouraging active learning, helping students feel more confident, motivated, and capable of reaching their academic and professional goals.

experience

I have over ten years of experience in tutoring, beginning in 2016, with a strong focus on scientific subjects, particularly biology. For three years, I worked at an after-school center where I tutored students in biology as well as served as a language tutor, teaching Arabic and French. During this time, I worked with students helping them understand core concepts, prepare for exams, and improve their academic performance. In addition to my work at the center, I have been a freelance tutor since 2020, tutoring more than 10 students up until 2026. Some of the students I have worked with have successfully graduated from high school, while others are still continuing their courses with me. This long-term engagement has allowed me to closely follow students’ growth and adapt my teaching to their evolving needs. My experience has strengthened my ability to explain biological concepts clearly, provide targeted practice, and support students academically and mentally.

background

I hold a degree in Biology from USEK, which provided me with a strong academic foundation in biological sciences. I am currently a medical student (Med I) at the American University of Beirut (AUB), where I continue to deepen my understanding in medical concepts in clinical settings. This background allows me to bridge undergraduate biology concepts with their medical applications, which is particularly helpful for students aiming to pursue medical school. My academic journey and personal experiences motivate me to support students not only in passing their courses, but also in preparing for future paths in medicine and related health professions, offering them both academic guidance and an encouraging push toward their goals.
